NASA's mission is to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research.\r
To do that, we have worked around the world -- and off it -- for more than 50 years, searching for answers to fundamental questions about our place in the universe. We're exploring space and discovering Earth. Join us for this exciting and important journey.

  1. Real World

This is absolute JOKE to take this seriously. Cartoons are for kidds, time to grow up if you want to fool masses, as you gonna lose that at some point.

  2. macksoneh

Due to the great distance between Mars and the earth, I believe the video streaming is not real time , but has at least a few minutes of time delay.

  3. Said Sabour

    Great job

  4. Kastlbauer05

If i were floating with no gravity I'd be in a different pose... Stiff to the neck

  6. Findeastur

Parece increible, sobre todo nitidez de las imagenes, es apasionante!!!!

  7. Tanzimul Emam

In all honesty, the picture looks a bit off. Anyone else notice it? It seems somewhat artificial. Is it due to the compression or due to it being taken in a panorama?

  8. Lachlan Carrol

The hype is building, its moon base time.

I just realised why they named their missions: Artemis and Apollo😂🤩

Why dont we send some plant seeds and use these rovers to plant them on martian soil.!!

  28. Wait A minute

Nasa you make things look so suspicious. On the live feed you didn’t even show this

    1. Salticus

The connection to Mars isn't great, transmitting a video in this high quality takes a while. Additionally, there is a ~12 minute signal delay between earth and mars.

  29. Stuart Jamieson

    Astounding clarity and work

  30. Matthew Adair

I can’t wait till they start sending humans to Mars.

  31. Eazayy Eazayy

  32. Ewelina Barańczyk

Congratulations NASA. Good, fantastic, great work.. i cant say that!

  33. BlackBullPistol

I hope to see soon some more of the over 30GB data, for now we only saw maybe few hundreds MB of video and photo material. . .

  34. Мс.ЗаВаРкА

And in 1 minute of the video display of Mars, have we already been at the Jezero crater? Is it so big that some of its edges are not visible?

Fancy traveling all that way to litter junk in about 5 seconds. I get the value of space travel and exploration just wish there was a better way.

  37. John Smith

That heatshield was very stable as it was falling.

  38. Egean See

Ces images et cette épopée sont absolument extraordinaires. Bravo aux hommes et femmes de la NASA. Vous nous faites rêver!! On attend la suite avec impatiente.

  39. Christopher Moore

I gotta admit, the landing looks like a very cheesy space alien movie from the 90’s, tell me it doesn’t, seriously

What a waste of money and effort. We hand people freezing in their homes and starving in the streets yet we put a robot on Mars to satisfy curiosity....DESPICABLE

    1. Ratafak85

And 700 billion army budget of the US does not concern you? What a colosal waste of money! It is more than all the other NATO countries combined. Science is never waste of money!!

Is there any air at mars why parachute is used

    1. Plumbus 48

There is air. The parachute is used to slow the spacecraft down before backshell separation and powered flight.

    O maygooud

  71. Harish Shrivastava

they cannot be watching the touchdown live, there is a lag of at least 15 minutes. why no one noticed?

    1. Luca Herman

Yeah I’m fairly sure this is them when they reacted to the news once they got it and then is spliced in a pleasing manner to make the video better

    2. Steve Adams

No one has claimed that this was in realtime. The video was downloaded a day or so after the landing and this video was made from it, interspersed with the commentary from Mission Control.

  72. Lucid Dream Portal

A perfect example that when humans follow their dreams, they make dreams come true. Congratulations to the Perseverance team!
